Sensilo plant
The factory of the future
At a cost of around 50 million euro, the new building in the Fulda-West Technology Park is the largest investment in JUMO's history. As such, it successfully sets the course for the future. After all, around 13,000 m² of manufacturing area is available for the production of temperature and pressure sensors. The new plant is also leading the way when it comes to innovation, digitization, and sustainability. Take a look behind the scenes of this impressive plant with us!

Minimal CO2 footprint

SENSILO's innovative energy concept was co-financed by the European Union. It includes a sprinkler tank for energy storage, heat pumps, geothermal probes, refrigeration machines, and a powerful photovoltaic plant. As a result, peak loads can be capped, energy demands can be rescheduled, and waste heat can be used efficiently so that the use of fossil fuels is unnecessary. CO₂ emissions and primary energy consumption are also significantly reduced.

Numbers – Data – Facts

  • Production hall with cleanroom, logistics hall, production-related administration
  • 700 kW of photovoltaic capacity on the roof – equivalent to the energy demand of around 200 single-family homes
  • 20 geothermal probes, each reaching 100 meters deep – installed across a 100,000 m² site
  • 1.2 MW/h of cooling capacity for building air conditioning – comparable to the performance of 2000 cars
  • Industrial floor heating system covering more than 8500 m² – larger than a soccer field (7140 m²)
