How to ensure accurate wireless water level measurement in an outdoor aquarium? Customer's problem
In the Ozeaneum's outdoor tanks, it was crucial to continuously monitor the water level in order to maintain stable conditions for marine organisms. The problem was that the tanks were spread over a large area, and it proved impossible to lay measurement cables for both technical and logistical reasons. An additional limitation was the lack of access to power at each measurement point.
A solution was required that would not only function in all weather conditions throughout the year (rain, sun, wind, changing temperatures), but also ensure reliable signal transmission over long distances. The signal from the sensors was to be converted to the 4...20 mA standard and transmitted to a single, central control cabinet. The system also had to be easy to install and adapted to the existing support structure at the tanks to minimize installation time.
