"We want to give the apprentices, the FOS trainees and their parents a secure feeling, show them that their children are in good hands with us and that they have made the right choice with us as a training company," said Tamara Stauch, head of commercial training at JUMO.
The event started with a presentation of the company by JUMO shareholder Bernhard Juchheim. Human Resources Manager Alexandra Dantmann was particularly pleased that this traditional information event could be held in attendance again for the first time in two years.
With the get-together, JUMO would like to shorten the time between the signing of the training contract and the first day of training for the future apprentices and establish closer contact in advance. In order to make the start of training easier and to take away the newcomers' excitement, apprentices from the higher apprenticeship years have taken on sponsorships. The mentors are supposed to be contact persons at eye level, answer questions and support the newcomers during the first weeks of their apprenticeship or internship.
The parents were given a guided tour of the production areas of their children's future training company. This was followed by an introduction/question-and-answer session with the trainers in the industrial/technical area.
The event was concluded with a presentation by the first-year apprentices. They informed the guests about the apprenticeships, FOS internships and the special features of an apprenticeship at JUMO. These include various projects, excursions, the possibility of a stay abroad, company health management, and much more.
