The technological foundation for these sensors is developed at PGT, the center of excellence for polymer-based sensor technology within the JUMO Group. Here, functional polymers are specifically selected, combined, and processed with reliable process control using the injection molding process. In addition to replacing traditional temperature probes, the technology enables entirely new approaches to integration in complex components, customer‑specific geometries, and environments exposed to significant mechanical stress. PGT combines materials science, design, and overmolding to create compact, exceptionally robust sensor solutions that are available from JUMO as finished products.
