Problem
An HVAC manufacturer needed a compact, accurate wired temperature sensor for heating systems that could operate up to 150 °C, meet F0.3 accuracy requirements using Pt100 and Pt1000 platinum RTDs, and still support cost-effective, high-volume production.
Solution
JUMO supplied a PCB-based measurement insert using SMD platinum RTD sensor chips. The compact design supported an axial wired sensor layout while enabling automated assembly and easier handling during manufacturing.
Result
Lower production costs at scale, improved manufacturing efficiency, and reliable temperature measurement. All measuring inserts were tested to DIN EN IEC 60751, ensuring long-term stability and performance in HVAC applications.
