JUMO's polymer-based temperature probes open up new possibilities in industrial measurement technology. Innovative plastics enable the creation of robust, lightweight, and highly flexible probe geometries that adapt perfectly to challenging installation environments. The sensing elements are fully encapsulated and hermetically sealed, which ensures durable, reliable, and precise temperature measurement in a wide variety of applications ranging from mechanical engineering to building automation.

The technological foundation for these sensors is developed at PGT, the center of excellence for polymer-based sensor technology within the JUMO Group. Here, functional polymers are specifically selected, combined, and processed with reliable process control using the injection molding process. In addition to replacing traditional temperature probes, the technology enables entirely new approaches to integration in complex components, customer‑specific geometries, and environments exposed to significant mechanical stress. PGT combines materials science, design, and overmolding to create compact, exceptionally robust sensor solutions that are available from JUMO as finished products.
