What do you do in the event of a short circuit or an interruption?
A thermocouple does not supply voltage if the measuring temperature is equal to the reference junction temperature. If a thermocouple or the compensating cable is short-circuited, the new measuring point is created at the location of the short-circuit. If such a short-circuit occurs, for example in the connection head, the temperature of the actual measuring point is no longer displayed, but that of the connection head.
What are the available lengths of thermocouples in our offer?
We offer a wide range of thermocouple lengths depending on the type and design: Screw-in (160-600 mm), Plug-in with Type B head (100-960 mm) and Type A (180-1400 mm, in 100 mm steps). Jacketed thermocouples are available from 50 mm to 50,000 mm, in 50 mm increments, and their lengths can be customized to meet application needs. In addition, specialized solutions such as thermocouples with bayonet connection or in vapor-proof design are offered, with various length and diameter options.
In summary, we have thermocouple sensors with lengths from 20 mm to as much as 50,000 mm, with different configuration options, depending on the type and needs of the application.
Are JUMO thermocouples offered only in standard lengths, or is it also possible to order customized lengths?
JUMO thermocouples are available both in standard length gradations (e.g., in 50 or 100 mm increments) with immersion lengths available from 50 mm to 50,000 mm, and can also be customized to meet specific application requirements.
