Warmtewisselaars aan boord
De laadruimen van schepen worden verwarmd of gekoeld door middel van warmtewisselaars. Warmte wordt overgedragen van het ene vloeibare of gasvormige medium naar het andere. In sommige gevallen wordt ook gebruik gemaakt van de warmte en de uitlaatgassen van de machines. JUMO temperatuur- en druksensoren controleren en bewaken dit proces.
